Other applications in building construction

Besides the reinforcement of conventional construction materials, there are numerous other applications for composite profiles.

A very typical application is the use of carbon or glass-fibre rods as guiding in the gauze material in screen doors and windows. This ensures that the gauze is secured and is wind-resistant. The high strength and rigidity of the composite rods enable the gauze to be guided over long lengths without support. Moreover, the guide pin will never warp due to the favourable elastic properties of the composite materials.
